WHAT INSPIRES YOU ABOUT THE WORK YOU DO?
I believe that everyone has the capacity to live with greater awareness, gratitude, joy, and purpose. Being human is not easy, and we all need the practical tools to navigate life’s ups and downs with resilience. Through every challenge, we have the opportunity to grow and recognize our heart’s capacity for connection.
HOW DO YOU LIVE ‘MINDFULLY?’
I meditate every morning; practice brining my attention to what I am doing while I am doing it; pause regularly through out the day to notice what is happening in my body, heart, and mind; and engage with those around me by giving them my full attention.
WHAT’S THE FIRST THING YOU DO WHEN YOU WAKE UP?
Drink a glass of water and sit on my meditation cushion.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE YOU TO GET READY IN THE MORNING?
From showering to walking out the door, I can be out the door in 20 minutes. That said, most mornings I give myself 2 hours to meditate and have a leisurely breakfast. Such a treat to have the first hours of the day to myself!
WHAT’S YOUR GO-TO WORKOUT?
These days I really mix it up – yoga, barre, and interval training are all so fun.
WHAT DO YOU DO TO KEEP YOUR LIFE (AND CLOSET!) A LEAN, MEAN, CLUTTER-FREE MACHINE?
I remind myself that space is the most important thing. Stuff just creates noise.
YOU’RE A BUSY BABE. HOW DO YOU BALANCE WORK, HEALTH, AND YOUR RELATIONSHIPS?
A little practical planning goes a long way. Creating the habit of meditation first thing in the morning has made me more efficient during the day. Also, grocery shopping and meal planning on Sundays ensures I eat well during the week. Fortunately, most of the people in my life enjoy activity, so when I am not working, I am generally doing something healthy with a loved one—running with my husband, going to tea and a yoga class with a girlfriend, or making a meal for my women’s circle.
