RIGHT NOW: WHERE ARE YOU, WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON, AND WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE ITEM YOU’RE WEARING?
I’m in Manhattan, working from a hotel lobby, answering emails. I’m not wearing the best outfit but I’m super comfortable: high waisted Levis boyfriend jeans, t-shirt, and sneakers. My favorite item I’m wearing is this simple v-neck gray t-shirt I’ve had since middle school.
SUM UP YOUR STYLE IN ONE SENTENCE.
Varies on the day, but on a good day it’s comfortable, girly, and simple.
WHAT INSPIRES YOU ABOUT THE WORK YOU DO?
Getting to tell the stories of people I admire and share them with the coolest community of people.
HOW DO YOU LIVE ‘MINDFULLY?’
I try as often as I can remember to truly be wherever I am. Meaning intentionally put my focus into whatever I’m doing, whether that’s scrolling through Instagram or having a conversation with someone. I try to not go on auto-pilot and actually move through life consciously as often as I remember.
WHAT’S THE FIRST THING YOU DO WHEN YOU WAKE UP?
Scrape my tongue!
WHAT DOES YOUR MORNING ROUTINE LOOK LIKE?
Changes every day but the constant things are: scrape my tongue, brush my teeth, go to the bathroom, drink a full bottle of water, have a probiotic, warm water with lemon most of the time, meditate for 22 minutes, sometimes journal, something go to a workout class, eat breakfast (usually a green apple or two with cinnamon and sea salt + nut butter and a very strong yerbe mate tea) and then get into my work day.
WHAT’S YOUR GO-TO WORKOUT?
Walking! & Pilates
WHAT’S THE ONE ITEM OF CLOTHING YOU WEAR THE MOST?
Right now a white cropped tank top with high waisted jeans.
WHAT DO YOU DO TO KEEP YOUR LIFE (AND CLOSET!) A LEAN, MEAN, CLUTTER-FREE MACHINE?
I’m constantly throwing things away, to the point where I end up having to re-buy things I tossed prematurely. I’m constantly editing my life to only have what I need. Moving helps and so does living in New York City where space is limited. Choice really stresses me out and living in NY there’s enough choice so I try to keep my wardrobe as minimal as I can.
YOU’RE A BUSY BABE. HOW DO YOU BALANCE WORK, HEALTH, AND YOUR RELATIONSHIPS?
It’s hard and I actually think true balance is a myth. I go through phases where I’ll work really had and my relationships might suffer or vice versa where I’ve be super present in my relationships and my work will take a back seat. With my health, it’s so integrated that I just make it a priority within my work focused time or relationship focused time by going to exercise classes still, meditating at least once a day if not twice, and eating intuitively wherever I am.
