  • Dates fresh off the plane from Israel stuffed with almonds and drizzled with tahini. I could eat this all day every day. Sometimes the simplest things are the most delicious. #saratrieswellness
  • I haven't been making my normal elixirs in the morning but today I was really craving a latte! So I whipped up some 30 second almond milk (dollop of almond butter + water-- in this case hot water since I was making a latte) in my Vitamix and then added a shot of decaf espresso, @foursigmatic chaga, my morning dose of rhodiola (an adaptogen), raw cacao, Ceylon cinnamon, MCT oil (a form of coconut oil) and a nice drizzle of @wedderspoonofficial raw manuka honey. Blended it up and it is hitting all the spots on this cool morning! #saratrieswellness #sarasmorningelixir
  • Spent a delightful morning (after a very tough few weeks) enjoying a "bullsh*t free" brunch by @vitalfarms, chatting about wellness and sustainability, and meeting some lovely ladies. The gluten free pastries were divine 🤤 I'm a big fan of Vital Farms' commitment to their farmers and their consumers by selling only the highest quality products from very happy hens. Always makes me happy to connect to legit brands doing things right! #saratrieswellness #bullshitfreebrunch
  • TFW a business that supposedly supports women + ethical business literally copy and pastes your work without giving credit, compensation, or consideration 🙄🙄 I have spent my career supporting those building businesses on a mission, writing about business as a force for good, facilitating workshops, and even launching my own ethical business. It’s a big part of who I am and what I believe in, my purpose in the world. So you can imagine my surprise when a brand (@yellowco.co) that supposedly shares the same values wanted to explore working together, and then plagiarizes from my proposal on their website after deciding to do the work in house. To me, plagiarizing the work (then denying it and coughing it up to this being common knowledge/language everyone uses- swipe to see the side by side and decide for yourself 👉🏻) of someone who has spent the better part of a decade learning and immersing herself into this field & building her expertise— expertise that this company wanted to tap into— doesn’t feel like the behavior of a impact-driven, women-focused business, nor one I would want to learn how to run an ethical business from. I know this happens all the time, but it feels particularly disappointing in the world of social entrepreneurship and supporting women. I'm sharing this because we can do better. We can support brands that truly live their values— and I am so grateful to work with and share the stories of many, and discover more every day, that are making a difference in deep, impactful, and authentic ways.   • My cleaning out the freezer smoothie bowl 🤷🏻‍♀️ I just recently learned that wild blueberries are much stronger antioxidants than their cultivated friends. The good news? You can buy 'em frozen at TJs or Whole Foods for pretty cheap. They are one of the most healing ingredients while fighting a cruise so you better believe I'm chugging them in smoothies all day long as of late. Also in this smoothie: cherries, a banana, raspberries, spinach, butternut squash, collagen powder, and ground Chia and flax. Blended with some water and styled on this gorgeous marble Ian gave me yesterday for my birthday! #saratrieswellness #wildblueberries
