  • Feeling grateful for the ability to connect to people all over the country and the world using this little app. I've connected to so many wonderful individuls-- business owners, creators and creatives, people who care about wellness and sustainability, people who love good food and thoughtful company as much as I do. Some of those people have even become true, dear friends! I'm slowly starting to recognize how important of a value connection is to me. I think it's really at the center of all that I care about, when you break it down. Connection to my body and mind so I can live with health and ease. Connection to others who I can learn from and teach, who I can share thoughts and hopes and fears with, and who I can laugh with. And connection to the earth, plants, and our eco-system so that we can treat it with the respect it deserves, enabling us to live here for a very long time. Connection is food for our souls and allows us to be mindful, present, and kind with ourselves, others, and the planet. And it allows me to reaaaally enjoy these raw vegan, GF, refined sugar free desserts from @meetthesource. They are basically salad, right?! #saratrieswellness #saratrieslowwaste #meetthesource
  • This week's episode of #mediumwellpodcast features @voicebodyelissa, a voice and presence coach. We discussed building a stronger presence, how to find your authentic voice and the importance os using your voice, and even had some live, "on-air" coaching so that I can become a better speaker on the podcast! This was such a great conversation that is applicable in so many situations, and I love that it centered around mindfulness (which I was not expecting!). Whether you want to feel more confident at a work meeting, giving a speech at your best friend's wedding, preparing a keynote, or any other situation where you want to have a strong and authentic presence, I think you'll learn so much from this episode. Link in bio, as always 🌿 #speakyourtruth #elissaweinzimmer #voicebodyconnection
  • When the coffee shop serves all to go beverages (hot and cold!) in glass jars πŸ™ŒπŸ» Shops like this give me hope for others in the future to move away from disposables πŸŒΏπŸ’š #saratrieswellness #saratrieslowwaste

  • This week's episode of Medium Well features Lopa, founder and CEO of @wearerasa, in a winding, surprising, and informative conversation all about Lopa's fascinating background, why she started an herbal coffee company, her thoughts on wellness and adaptogens, her interest in Ayurveda, how she approached a time of self-exploration, being a mom and an entrepreneur, sustainability in business, and more. This conversation is as hilarious as it is thought-provoking-- there's a lot of cursing, a lot of laughing, and a lot of topics I never thought would come up on the podcast. I loved this conversation and I am pretty confident you will too. Link to Medium Well in my profile, or search wherever you listen to podcasts! And if you're listening, take a screenshot and tag me and @wearerasa with thoughts, questions, and takeaways. #mediumwellpodcast #rasa #wearerasa
  • Winding paths // As a kid, I thought I'd go to the fashion institute of technology for my undergrad degree. I wanted to be a fashion designer! A fashion internship in high school opened my eyes to the industry and I decided I could not leave the impact I wanted to make in the world if I worked in fashion. I pivoted towards social justice work, which eventually led me to sustainable and ethical living and starting my own ethical fashion company before confirming for a second time it's not the industry for me. Tonight, however, I got to talk to the introduction to sustainability class at F.I.T. It's funny how things come full circle and you ended up somewhere you thought you'd enjoy but for a reason that aligns with your purpose and who you are. Life gets jumbly sometimes it's hard to see through the confusion and the muck. But then you get a sign that you're exactly where you need to be, in the muck, figuring things out. Feeling grateful for the reminder. #livetheellipsis #intentionalism
